Summer School on Adaptive Optics 2005

Dates: 6-12 August 2005

Location: University of California in Santa Cruz, California
-- Housing and Dining Location on Campus: College 9/10
-- Lectures and presentations will be held in the Earth and Marine Sciences (EMS) Lecture Hall #B206 and breakout sessions will be held in the Center for Adaptive Optics building

Description: The Summer School on Adaptive Optics lectures will include advanced topics in adaptive optics going beyond the basic principles: mathematical tools, simulation of AO systems, wavefront reconstruction algorithms, image processing algorithms, designing AO systems, and advanced AO system components. The course is designed for graduate students, postdoctoral researchers and scientists with some familiarity with basic AO concepts.

Cost: Graduate students and Post-docs-- $250 Conference fee, which includes all food and lodging. US based students are also eligible for travel support within designated limits.

All others will be charged a $250 Conference fee, plus $660 per person single occupancy, or $550 per person double occupancy, for food and lodging.
