Just for Postdoctoral & Graduate Students

The CfAO offers opportunities for graduate and postdoctoral students to participate in professional development activities.

Professional Development Workshop
Each year the CfAO hosts a workshop exclusively for Center graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. The workshop provides:

  • networking opportunities
  • cross-disciplinary collaborations
  • training in current strategies for teaching science

Learn more about the Workshop.

Mini-Grants
The CfAO offers Mini-Grants for Center graduate students and postdoctoral researchers to gain experiences and skills in new disciplines. Grants can be used to provide travel, subsistence and supplies for the applicant to visit a CfAO node other than their own. Crossovers between astronomy, vision science and education are strongly encouraged.
