Arthur Agdeppa, Jr. was born and raised in the Philippines. He currently attends Maui Community College and is in the Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology program. He is currently working in Computing Services on campus as an intern and hopes that someday he will find a job in the field of technology on Maui. (Top)

Suzanne received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Azusa Pacific University in 1997.  She is now in the Electronic and Computer Technology Program at Maui Community College on course to a Master’s degree in computer technology.  With a background in avionics, she is also building her experience and education in electronics through computer instruction. She lived in South East Asia for four years and loves the outdoors, traveling, language and cultures, and ethnic music.  Suzanne was born and raised on Oahu and moved to Maui in 2001. Hazel Butler, University of Hawai'i at Hilo

Hazel Butler is currently an undergraduate at the University of Hawai’i at Hilo. She plans to graduate in May 2007 with a B.S. in astronomy and with minors in physics and mathematics. During the school year, she works as an interpretive guide at the Visitor Information Station on Mauna Kea, where she can share her passion for astronomy with the public. When not studying, she enjoys going to the beach and hanging out with her fellow astronomy majors. (Top)

Conrad Corpuz was born and raised on Maui. He graduated in 2005 from Baldwin High School. He is a freshman at Maui Community College pursuing an AS degree from the Electronics and Computer Engineering Technology program. He hopes to find work on Maui and work towards a B.S. in Computer Science. His hobbies include watching movies, playing video games, listening to music, and going to the beach. (Top)

Keizo Gates is an undergraduate at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY where he will graduate in 2007 with a dual major in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. He was born on the Big Island, later lived on Oahu, in Washington State, and on Kaua’i where he graduated high school in 2003. In his free time he can be found improving the paddling website OCPaddler, paddling, hiking,  trying a board sport, or working on another fun project. (Top)

Dylan Ichikawa was born and raised on the island of O’ahu.  He graduated from Kaiser High School in 2002.  He is entering his senior year in University of Hawai’i at Mānoa College of Engineering’s Electrical Engineering program and will be graduating in May 2007.  He is active in Eta Kappa Nu, the electrical engineering’s honor society. He enjoys going to the beach, meeting new people, and learning new things. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Hawai’i, he hopes to start his engineering career and stay in Hawai’i. (Top)

Joshua Irvine is about to enter his fourth year at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa in the Fall 2006 concentrating his studies in Bioengineering with a minor in Spanish language. He aspires to obtain a M.D./P.H.D after finishing his Masters degree in Bioengineering, at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa--but he is open to the option of attending graduate school at an international or US--mainland institution. He enjoys learning and loves to combine his passions of culture plus science to better aid our community. He hopes one day that his generation will leave a sustainable and lasting legacy which will not affect the needs of future generations. (Top)

Carol Matasci grew up in Kihei on the island of Maui. She graduated from Baldwin High School in 2005 and is currently attending the University of Notre Dame in pursuit of a degree in chemical engineering. She is involved with the Society of Women Engineers and the Hawai’i Club. She enjoys learning how things work, ceramics, reading books for fun, and making jewelry. After graduation, she would like to come back to live and work in Hawai’i. (Top)

Rodney Morden is from the island of Kaua’i.  He has an older brother and two younger sisters.  He is currently attending college at Washington State University majoring in Electrical Engineering, with a minor in Computer Engineering and Math.  He is also part of the fraternity Phi Sigma Kappa, Chi Deuteron Chapter.  In his free time he likes playing basketball, ukulele, spending time with his friends and body boarding.  He enjoys listening to Hawaiian, Underground Hip Hop, and Reggae music. Glenda Ramos was born and raised in the Philippines. She received her B.S. in Computer Science in the Philippines and is currently a freshman at Maui Community College (MCC). Kianiwai Spangler was born and raised on the island of Maui. She graduated in 2005 from Seabury Hall High School and is about to begin her second year at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, studying electrical engineering. At school she is actively involved in her sorority, Delta Delta Delta, serving as the computer chair on the officers council. Kianiwai hopes to go to graduate school and get her MBA, and eventually move back to Maui. She also enjoys playing volleyball and surfing. (Top)
