The California Teach Program is intended to increase the number of qualified math and science teachers in California. It creates a new opportunity for students in math, science, and engineering majors to prepare for careers in teaching.
On March 4, the Center for Informal Learning in School (CILS) and the Center for Adaptive Optics (CfAO) are hosting a Saturday Open Lab event for students who are interested in exploring the possibility of a teaching career and participating in Cal Teach. The event will include a hands-on inquiry-based science activity and access to a wealth of information about pathways into teaching careers.
