The Center for Adaptive Optics (CfAO) has developed two portable systems that demonstrate concepts in adaptive optics, vision science, and astronomy. They are intended for students at many educational levels and come complete with instructional materials and suggestions for possible experiments. Laboratory instructors, docents, and educators may borrow the instruments for one or two months and incorporate them into their own curricula. Training may be available at CfAO in Santa Cruz. Please contact the CfAO Education and Outreach Director, Lisa Hunter, for more details. |
