Center for Adaptive Optics Fall Retreat 2003
The Fall Retreat, being held at the Tenaya Lodge, will offer an opportunity
for participants to share current research, participate in brainstorming future
CfAO research projects , present posters, and visit informally. Topics will
include Extremely Large Telescopes, Lasers, Extreme AO, Vision Science, MEMs,
Inquiry-based learning, and mentoring,
---Non-Education participants: Arrive after 3PM on Thursday, 30 October. Depart
Sunday, 2 November after lunch.
--Education Participants: Arrive after 3 PM on Friday, 31 October. Depart Monday,
3 November after lunch.
--Those attending both the science and the education workshops and presentations
should plan to arrive on Thursday, 30 October, and depart Monday, 3 November.

1. For CfAO membership reimbursement purposes, the preferred airport is the
San Jose Airport (SJC). Driving time is approximately 3 1/2 hours from Tenaya
2. For industry attendees, the closer airport is the Fresno Airport, which is
about a 1 1/2 hour's drive from Tenaya Lodge. Fresno

For car rental reimbursement purposes you must carpool to and from Tenaya
Lodge with another retreat participant. If you are not able to carpool email
