Opportunities for CfAO members to get involved: Instructors, speakers.

As part of the preparation for the CfAO undergraduate internship, interns will attend a 5-day orientation held at UC Santa Cruz, developed and taught by a group of CfAO graduate students and postdocs. The orientation includes the following topics:

  • Basics of the universe
  • Optics
  • Science in astronomy
  • Tours of astronomy and vision science facilities
  • Research in vision science
  • How to perform research
  • How to present research
  • Being successful in the research environment
