idac Downloads

The code, the sample date set used in the example and its results are all available for download. It is recommended that the first-time user test out the algorithm on the sample data set and compare the results. For information on running the algorithm, check out the User's Guide and the Example pages.

Instructions for installing idac:

• Create a directory to download into.
• Download source code
• Uncompress it (gunzip idac_v27.tar.gz )
• Extract from tar file: (tar -xvf idac_v27.tar).  This will generate an idac/ subdirectory in the directory the tar file is located.
• Compile the code using make. This will give a menu of the different UNIX operating systems supported. These include Solaris, Linux, Ultrix, Aix and others.
• After a successful compilation, the executable is contained in the subdirectory bin - bin/idac_v27.  The subdirectory will also contain a C routine for editing the FITS headers - bin/hedit.
